Watching the news. Previously, I'd heard about the plans in SF to get rid of the JROTC program. Now they want to replace it with an ethnic studies course?!!
Background: Apparently, a lot of kids take JROTC to fulfill a phys ed requirement, which has been taken away by the school board. Thus, enrollment in the program has dropped, leaving the kids who take it for other reasons in the ditch.
Why replace a phys ed course with some ethnic studies course? I don't get it, either! Just another chance to push agendas.
